But despite a hostile political landscape—where abortion access was virtually eliminated before Dobbs and power is stacked against progressive change—organizers and elected leaders are still winning. In counties larger than many battleground states, Texans are flipping the script by raising the minimum wage, advancing criminal legal reform, and protecting voter rights.
